Laika font is an applet built in processing to allow the changing of typefaces by the movement of the cursor within a defined box. The movement on the x and y axis changes the slant, weight and serifs of the typeface. There are also a few variables that you can manipulate to play with the effect.
The interaction experience is beautifully fluid and really enjoyable. Although it may not be the most practical for finding the perfect font for the job at hand but it is much nicer than scrolling through hundreds on individual fonts. It takes a new and fluid user interaction and adds it to an ordinarily menial task to create a rewarding user experience. The site is definitely well worth a look: http://www.laikafont.ch/applet/test.html
